By Rian Mahon

Summer is the best season for family and other types of vacations and Bulgaria is in the list of European countries that offer great opportunities for spending unforgettable time there. Whether you plan short or long stay, Bulgarian Black Sea coast guarantees rest, a lot of fun, as well as beautiful, sunny and sandy beaches.

It is easy to find accommodation in luxury hotels located just in front of the sea, but it is recommended to book them in advance, as there is a shortage of spare rooms in the peak season, which is in July and August. However, the first tourists come here from the end of May and the tourist season continues till October.

The most well-liked and visited Bulgarian resorts are Sunny Beach, Albena and Golden Sands, but tourists can enjoy any of the smaller summer resorts located along the coast. These are St. Konstantin and Elena, Kiten, St. Vlass, Nesebar and many others. Located in the Southern coastal part, Sunny Beach is the most popular and the biggest resort, followed by Albena and Golden Sands that are located in the north near to the city of Varna. Two great Aqua Parks await their visitors in Golden Sands and Sunny Beach.

All the resorts guarantee ideal conditions for relaxation and sun bathing along with first-class accommodation. The weather in Bulgaria is also advantageous due to the sunny summer with almost no rain or bad weather.

All these advantages make Bulgaria one of the most preferred summer holiday destinations in Europe. The fulfilling summer retreat that tourists will experience during their stay here will surely make them choose this destination again next summer. In addition to the sea and sand, the region also offers great cultural landmarks. One of them is "The Stone Forest", located near to Varna and attracting visitors from all over the world.

The Sea capital of Bulgaria is the seaside city of Varna that offers its guests a lot of cultural monuments, museums, theaters, art galleries and other places for entertainment, along with crowded beaches. Some of the best places for families with children to visit are the Zoo, the Sea Garden, Dolphinarium and Aquarium.

The beaches are clean and safe with beach guards that watch for the tourists' safety. The serenity that reigns in these resorts is striking and very advantageous for tourists who would like to escape from their hectic way of life. This tranquility continues up till the evening, when the place is transformed into a colorful noisy fair, where everyone can find what he needs. The streets are full of painters, traders, shops and restaurants, along with nightclubs that attract young tourists and keep them entertained up till the morning. Bulgaria is considerably safe place during the nights, so people feel safe when taking their after-dinner walk.

Dancing waiters and live music attracts visitors to the restaurants that can be found everywhere, offering a big diversity of meals and where the tourists can taste the original Bulgarian meals "tarator" or "banitsa". Although not all the waiters might be professionally trained, the food as well as the services are good enough and preferred by foreigners.
