You don't necessarily need to have a teaching degree to teach English or tutor youngsters in foreign countries. There are plenty of websites offering jobs for qualified applicants willing to spend a period of time in any one of a number of countries teaching students the basics of English. Accommodations are often included in with a salary and other benefits. English is not the only subject visitors to other countries can teach. Some have found work as Yoga, music, dance, and art instructors.

For those with a talent for writing, there are lots of websites that will pay for travel articles. One of the beauties of this idea is that you don't have to stay in one spot like you would if you were teaching classes. You can write from wherever you are. You could also start a blog and write about your experiences, the people you encounter, and your reactions to the different cultures.

If you have a gift for gab, like to meet people, and are interested in selling, timeshare companies may be interested in hiring you. They are usually on the lookout for talented individuals who can communicate effectively with their tourist clients. These businesses prefer to pair American visitors with American sales people. The commissions are worth it for the right individuals.

Working in hotels, youth hostels, and bars are service industry jobs open to foreign travelers. You could also get a job waiting tables, or working as a tour guide, when you are familiar enough with the area. A lot of businesses are looking for industrious individuals who can speak English.

It might be a long shot, but if you have always dreamed of being discovered abroad and asked to play a part in a film or play, you should try frequenting areas where scouts are known to hang out. Movie star looks might get you an offer to try out for a part. This can be dangerous however, so you want to be very careful you aren't talking to someone who deals in human trafficking.

Painters, sculptors, and potters have always been drawn to foreign countries. If you're a professional artist, you might find a clientele base in a country that values art and culture than the United States sometimes seems to do. You might have to take a part time job to underwrite your art, but many small business owners are open to supporting young people trying to establish themselves as credible artists.

Traveling the globe is a wonderful opportunity for those with limited family responsibilities and a sense of adventure. You don't have to be independently wealth to do it either. You just have to keep an open mind to the possibilities and stay creative.
